Top-Notch Comics #2 (Heritage)

$250 SOLD

raw

1st Swastica on a comic cover.

From the Prospect Mountain Collection.

I think this would sell better slabbed with the cgc note "First comic book with Nazi swastica cover" But I'll give it a go here before I send it in.

Fragile and complete.

UPDATE Thanks to a good eye, I looked at this again and found a couple extra staples on the lower bottom. They don't prevent the book from being read or anything. And last page is loose.

Heritage Description

(MLJ, 1940) Condition: FR/GD. Storm and Stacy Knight, M.D. stories begin. Jack Cole art. Overstreet notes that they consider this the first appearance of a Nazis swastika on a comic book cover. Mort Meskin art.

The cover was detached and has been reattached with tape. There is tape at the spine covering a split.
