I'm not sure why - I was generally buying anything I saw in the books I liked so perhaps I just didn't see them. Also, I think I generally distained reprints, so #9 would definitely not have appealed. Probably just the trademark inattention of a young teenager. I always bought them as a kid but I didn't care for the reprint issues either, with the exception of #8 since #1 wasn't easily obtainable at the time. #10 i just picked up this year. I still don't have Giant Size #5 but if one crosses my path I'd pick it up for the sake of completion though it's not a huge priority.
