If they are not shills I apologize but something does not look right to me.

I am bidding on 1 of the auctions and I spotted this one the pics are the same right down to the carpet but it's 2 DIFFERENT sellers whats up with that does anyone know these guys?

they may not be on the up and up (or they might have been lazy and used the same photo), but that's not the same as shilling. Being a thief isn't the same as being a robber.

Is there any legit reason to have more than 1 eBay account? (Roommates? Family members?)

I wrote to them -- a lighthearted, humor-tinged message, not an accusation or anything. Got this back:

 

"My friend and I have been friends since kindergarten, we are now in our 40's. We have both decided to get out of comics and are selling off our collections. We take all the pictures for the auctions at my house on the weekends. It gets boring doing it alone."

 

Sounds plausible to me.
