Near Complete Hi Grade Tales to Astonish & Hulk Run in Pedigree's April Auction!

Our upcoming April Grand Auction will include many new and recently graded Silver and Bronze Age high grade Marvels. The auction is scheduled to begin in just over one (1) week, on the night of Sunday, April 10th and last for ten (10) days until the night of Wednesday, April 20th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and EVERY item will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100 for this Grand Auction. The most recent addition to the auction will please any and all Hulk fans and collectors. It is a near-complete ultra high grade run (CGC certified 9.4 and higher) of Tales to Astonish #60-101 and Incredible Hulk #102-200 plus Incredible Hulk Annual #1. Almost every issue in the run is a 9.4 or 9.6 and there are a bunch of 9.8’s as well. Many of the books are the highest certified copy according to the CGC census and many have white pages too.

 

The Incredible Hulk, after having his own title canceled after issue #6 in March, 1963, made a huge comeback beginning in Tales to Astonish #59 and then shared the title with Giant-Man beginning with issue #60 (October, 1964) as brand new Hulk stories emerged. Beginning with issue #70 (in August, 1965), Sub-Mariner solo stories replaced the Giant-Man ones and shared each issue with the Hulk stories. This combination lasted until issue #101. With issue #102 (April, 1968), the title transferred back to the Incredible Hulk and it stayed that way until issue #474 in March, 1999.

 

The Tales to Astonish and Incredible Hulk run comes from a collection out of Delaware, the same collection that unveiled the amazing run of X-Men #1-66 that we purchased in October, 2015 for $79,000 and is the highlight of the auction. The Tales to Astonish and Incredible Hulk runs were purchased in early February by us for $70,000.
