This AS8 has extensive resto. Tape, CT, Pieces added. Mostly on the the spines of the cover and the 1st two wraps.

The CF is an attached color copy.

Taking all of this into mind please let me know what you think as far as a grade.

Tape hurts it. Eye appeal of a FN, but I think it's VG/VG-.

Sans the resto looks like a 3.5 or 4.0. Ultra cool book ya got there!

I wonder if this comic was selling for $23.25 on the secondary market and they had to mark it down to $22.50 to sell it. Those were the days.

Yes, spine is rebuilt/reinforced. Definitely "Extensive"

Is .5 the 100% default grade now? It seems like I've seen many like this that have grades, especially when there is an attached centerfold copy.

I thought it was for books missing their centerfolds, but i could be wrong. I have seen decent qualified grades in the past with only missing centerfolds.

Bizarre in a very cool way, really like it. I do think it's going to be deemed a .5 if it was complete I'd say 4.0. I'd love to see how it grades as is.

 

Regardless, congrats on a really interesting find.

It is a great book. If you ever track down a coverless copy, I would say marry the CF and it would be probably a 4.0R (married page) and you would have a copy to read as well.

Hahaha, track down a coverless copy. That's a good one. I've been looking for years. I think I saw one once but it was missing.... you guessed it, the centerfold.

I don't think you can have a Qualified and Restored book in one go (Green/Purple label) and thus in the 0.5 camp as well.
