Alex Ross TO UNVEIL THE YELLOW SUBMARINE PORTFOLIO BOXED SET

On Saturday, April 30th, artist Alex Ross will officially reveal the highly anticipated Beatles Yellow Submarine Portfolio Boxed Set. The reveal of his portraits entitled John, Paul, George and Ringo, comes almost a year after the announcement was made of the partnership between Alex and Apple Ltd, that was brokered by their North American licensing agent, Bravado International.

The event will take place at The Beatles Shop at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and Alex will be making a rare public appearance, his first in three years, to sign pieces from his Yellow Submarine collection. If you aren’t familiar with Alex Ross, he is one of the most famous concert book artists in the world. Last spring, it was announced that Alex was the first artist chosen by Apple to paint the Beatles in over 30 years.

 

Driven by the Beatles legendary music and inspired by the generations new trends in art, Yellow Submarine is a classic of animated cinema. The film resides within the dazzling styles of Pop Art, yet it’s “Yellow Submarine’s” art direction and production design by Heinz Edelmann that most defined the film’s pioneering look, and it’s in this spirit of unique innovation that Alex's highly unusual take can best be appreciated.

He's done signature series before, so I don't think he is "anti" CGC...

 

but I am also curious if any facilitators will be there.

From what I've been told, he will be signing 3 items per person free of charge. If you make a purchase of one of his Beatles items, you will get to jump to the front of the line and get the item(s) signed and 3 personal items.
