Prescreening questions

7 posts in this topic

The website says the pre-screening option can not be fast tracked or am I reading the chart incorrectly?

You don't get charged until the books meet the pre-screening requirements, right? In terms of modern books, you either get charged $5 or $18 so can't you determine how many books made the 9.8 grade based on the amount you get charged? I'm assuming the 10% dealer discount is only applied to the $18 fee and not the $5 rejection fee so the calculation would get a bit trickier but you should be able to get a rough estimate how many books passed once you get the bill, right?

Is the 49 working days the time for the prescreening and then you have to wait another 40 working days to get back a modern book?

The pre-screening itself can't be fast tracked, but the grading can be fast-tracked as normal (eg. it's not a problem to do a Modern FT submission with pre-screening).

So its an estimated 49 business days for prescreening and then if you do fast track its another month before you get your modern books (or about 3.5 months if you use fast track and 5 months if you go slow route)?

Generally speaking, pre-screen will add another week or two to the TAT for whatever tier your choosing.

I don't know why they added that prescreening date of 49 business days cause each tier can be prescreened. If your thinking about doing a MFTPS your likely looking at about 1.5months.

MSTPS are taking about 3 monthsish for me right now.

Thanks guys. Kept re-reading that description and kept reading it differently.
