The owner of the tec 27 on ebay won't negotiate a cent less on that book.

Link please would be appreciated!! I can't seem to find it on Ebay.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/201493532803

Isn't "All Things Comics" one of the bad guys on ebay. Seems like I've heard they are sketchy.

from what I hear, i guess so...

Yes, multiple threads about them. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I said I thought it would go between 30-35 but wouldn't be surprised if it hit 50 that was my first feeling beforethe auction started. A tec 27 missing the centerfold has been sitting on ebay for months at 33k.. not as nice PQ etc but still not missing any batman pages

That Tec 27 is one gnarly looking book. Still, I'm a little surprised someone hasn't snapped it up despite all its problems.

Just goes to show that tec 27 buyers are HG snobs.

Cant appreciate a well loved book

Wonder how much value would a back cover alone add to a coverless Tec 27 ?

I believe the Tec 27 is a "common" back cover, or at least not unique to just Tec 27. I know the Tec 28 back cover matches up with at least a couple of other DC's from that month, so I would assume Tec 27 could be in the same boat -- which explains why nobody bought this already. If it was unique to #27, it would've sold right away I'm sure.

Agreed. If there was a coupon on the back you would be able to differentiate what book it came from based on the code they used in 1939 to attach it to where the advertisement came from for tracking purposes
