What comic book movie set you up for life?

Batman '89.

I was 12.

Death in the Family were the drool-worthy grail books on the wall at the local comic shop. Atlantis Attacks came out that summer; Acts of Vengeance soon followed.

First comic I bought off the shelf was What If # 7 with its memorable Liefeld cover.

Batman 89. (I was 9).

Up until this point I'd been reading The Phantom (Frew's), which is huge in Australia... And is still the only title that you can reliably find at a newsagent in most regions.

My old man took me to see Batman at the cinema and it blew my mind... It's been the primary catalyst for a life rich in film, tv, comics and collectibles.
