Nice to be able to see them all, but, yeah, fortunately I'm not in completist mode on these. I missed out on the Turner, ordered the Grampa and the Dell Otto is growing on me. Think the Artgerm is a missed opportunity, though. He coulda been a contender, but.... meh

Got my 2 copies of the grampa variant both have spin kinks. :mad:

 

Really like the las vegas con variant but not going to pay scalper prices. :(

Also noticed the hastings variant isn't available to purchase online anymore.

Do Gotham and/or Gotham Girl appear on any issue other than 1A ?

Not that I've seen no.

 

I was half expecting Gotham City Sirens in this book, seeing as a bunch of these covers have one member or all three of them on the variants. I know variants don't meant jack for whats in a book, but 8 covers featuring them? Obviously I was wrong.

That would have been cool. I would like to see something with Duke on the cover also since he seems to be the next in line for the sidekick job.

It looks like Hastings has taken down the Batman # 1 book. They've added new variants since Thursday (when I looked at the site last for an article I wrote) but the link to Batman takes you to "page not found"

Yeah, I won't be buying from the shop that sold the Grampa variants again. Quick with shipping, but throwing a book in a padded envelope with scraps of cardboard that don't even cover the entire comic is an individual_without_enough_empathy's way to ship things. :mad:

Shipping was decent enough on my copy, although it was a bit of a pain to get it unentangled from the sticky bubble wrap. Looks like a 9.8 on the front, but there's a big kink along the spine about halfway up, so won't be submitting this one, I guess.

With Mike Turner being deceased for a number of years how did his cover come about? Was it a previous used image elsewhere?

 

I was told it was from a NYCC exclusive art book of Turner's.

 

It was a cover that was never published... Apparently there are 3 or 4 more they are releasing. All covers that were never published.
