This must have been covered by now, but I couldn't find anything.

 

But, I picked up the rebooted Electra Woman and Dyna Girl movie for my funnybook section this weekend.

 

It's based on the 1976 kids TV show.

Normally, I would say the sidekick Dyna Girl was adorably plucky (Hannah Hart), but I was quite fond of Grace Helbig's seasoned, yet clueless Electra Woman.

 

The young neighbor/villian was a hoot as well played by the nearly indestructable Materya Fedor.

 

The production definitely reminded me of the The Tick TV show.

 

Recommended light-weight entertaiment, for those of us with somewhat superhero-fatique.

Probably the most charming funnybook knock-off since "Defendor."

There was a remake pilot of this show that had Markie Post I think? The girl from Night Court.

 

IIRC there was a Flash cameo in it- live action Flash in action, which was cool (just running out of a coffee shop or something).

It was definitely interesting Batman v Superman counter-programming this weekend.

...and the Helbig/Hart commentary was hilarious.

 

I think the funniest scene was at the end when Helbig was trying to locate her Uber driver to rescue Hart in a city full of black Prius Uber cars.
