Matting a framed comic

Hi all. I have a number of Frame it Again Sam frames for ungraded comics (silver/golden).

 

 

I am looking at framing a Golden Age... but my frames are a tad small. I want this to be set off by itself. I want a large frame with a pretty thick matting around it. I want to keep the book in mylar, but put it in the opening of the matting. Any ideas? I don't want the matting pinching the book, but if it is in the matting, does the backing of the frame press the comic against the glass?

They sell spacers for frames that will give you added room. Also if you are putting high end books in there I would invest in uv glass to protect the comics.
