Round 1 COMMENTARY

Welcome once again to the 4th Annual Green Eggs Grading Contest :acclaim:

Bursting out of the gate, six contestants surge to the forefront with double bullseyes despite a tricky pairing of a well-worn Golden Age DC and now very, very expensive modern independent comic book. Congrats to 427Impaler, comicdonna, ElrodAllWrong, JWKyle, Mio, and old_dano, our current leaders! (worship)

This was a comparatively easy round with 63% of all guesses within one grade for Book 1 and 74% of all guesses within one grade for Book 2.

ROUND 2 WILL BE HARDER! :sumo:

:applause:

Round 2

Aaaand once again I will reign as King of the Undergraders!

I hammered TWD1 for that top corner dent, small spine-stresses and soiling on back cover. Not good. I call'em as I see'em.

But really, 4.0 for the OAAW !??? Wow. Looks like a 1cm tear to the middle right edge of front cover - that alone would bring it to 4.0 for me. But with all that other stuff going on with the c--b cover creases, spine splits, top edge fading and tears... just wow.

You guys are forgetting about The Nik Bump. :preach:

I didn't know The Nik Bump was transferable! :o

Well then, you haven't been paying attention. :P

Still a somewhat tame graemlin. I'll be expecting worse to appear to fit in with my craptastic scan grading. (thumbs u

OMG that WD 1 was 9.2

Looked fair. I gave it a gift 9.4 but it was a tweener to me. Remember I've seen 9.6s in CGC cases that looked about like this, so trust me....this is going to be a roller coaster ride.

I also hope these books were graded at various times during CGC "strict" vs "loose" to keep it all interesting. Althought the newton effect will kinda give it away as a recent grade.
