45 SLABS

If it was the ASM 60 there was a crack clearly visible top left corner on the scan.

The buyer apparently did not see the crack.

Neither did I for that matter, intil you pointed it out and I looked again.

It is clearly visible, if you are looking for it but nonetheless, the seller definitely should have noted that the slab had a crack in the upper left corner...and the severity of the crack i.e. if the inner seal was broken. If the inner seal is broken, the book will not qualify for a reholder.

The buyer paid $200+ for a CGC 9.0....incidentally, that is $73 over the last sale of a 9.0, last 9.0 sold at $127 in 8/2016.

To begin with, the buyer paid a very decent price for the book. And on top of paying what could be called a premium for a CGC 9.0, he gets a CGC 9.0 with a defective holder?

In any event, he didn't pay $200 for a CGC 9.0 that needs to have another $75 or so sinked into it for grading & shipping costs.

I sold 2 golden age slabs on here months ago, and noted that one of them had a crack on the rear of the case...any legit seller who wasn't out to hose a buyer would have done that.Gave the guy a deal on the pair, he gave me a positive in my kudos thread.

Bam, everybody's happy. Not the case here....

As it stands now, he will have 200% of the FMV of this book tied up, if he has to pay for grading.

Hell, I'd open up a item not received as described case with paypal, if I was Red.At the very least, that will force a reply out of the seller. He hasn't posted on here in a month, doubt he'll be back around anytime soon.

Here's GPA from the past 2 years on the book:

I would just keep trying to make contact with the seller.

aelelarkin hasn’t visited the forums since August so he hasn’t seen the problem.

If I was in Dutch74's shoes I would just wait to see if I can get in touch with him, or until he gets back here and I’m sure they will find a solution.
