Am I too fussy?

 

Sold to me as FN 6.0 white pages

 

Nice clean interior so no complaint but significant crease split spine and detached cover

 

Second opinions please.

I can't figure a detached cover, spine split, rips, tears, creases to be anywhere near a 6.0

Even without spine splits and a detached cover, it would be a 5.0 max.

 

Calling it anything more than a 3.0 is abuse of grading, and I'd lean closer to 2.0. But before tar and feathering the seller completely, the cover could have come off in shipping. I recently got in a book that had specifically been advertised as having an attached cover, but when I opened the package you could see it was detached before even taking it out of the bag, as a quarter inch of interior was showing at the bottom. It was a cheap book, and the seller refunded half the price, as eating shipping costs would have been nearly as bad.

This was in a large Fedex box bubbled wrap and in a mylar. Not expensive but disappointing all the same.
