The major flaw is a nick on the spine under the bottom staple.

It doesn't go through to the pages.

Would it be 9.0/9.2 without it??

2. Slight mis-wrap

3. Nick on spine

4. Impact crease on bottom RC (you can see it better from the back)

5. On back cover is that dirt or rust migration where the lower staple is?

 

I would say 7.5 - 8.0 tops

5) Dirt back cover, no rust.

I figured VF-NM dropped to VF- or VF with that darn nick!

Depends how you look at it. Back covers never used to bother me up until a while ago - now I find myself grading them the same as I would the front. I firmly believe that it must be added into the final grade including PQ.

 

BTW: I didn't mention the tear on the bottom BC.

7.5 on the basis of the impact crunch and the spine trauma alone

8.0 miswrap isnt an issue until 9.6+comes into play and even then I sometimes shake my head at HGs with horrible QP.

I have been thinking back and forth between 7.5 and 8.0 and decided 8.0.
