Photobucket Bogged Down?

I been with them 2 years or so. first 18 month things worked great and i would get 1 e-mail a week. I now get 3 to 5 e-mails a day and slow as _ _ _ _ .

They are gonna go under at this rate, 100%. Going forward need to migrate to imgur or flickr or the like.

 

Hopefully this thread will let us know whenever it is PB announces a shutdown. -.-

I couldn't help but notice the subject of this thread. I have also noticed PB lagging lately - (for the record, I use the ad version)

 

I and some programmers have been developing a site for the past few years and I am considering adapting it to be a alternative to Photobucket. Wondering if any of you would be willing to mess around with it and tell me what you think? Please ignore the name of the site and the nomenclature. It would all change - just focus on the photo upload capabilities, etc..

 

Here is a link: http://45.63.16.104/#!/ - Its possible it might crash if you upload too much at once - but 5 to 12 photos at a time should work fine.

To use it, just register, be patient for your confirmation email (it might take a few mins), log in, and click "Plant a New Seed" (Again, this would all change)

 

If there is interest we would add the the HTML embedding codes like Photobucket has...etc - and possibly make it a CGC board only service for now while we work out the bugs.

 

Just curious:

 

1) How many of you might use it?

2) Is this something you would be willing to subscribe to as a service?

3) If so, how much a month would you be willing to pay?
