Didnt read this whole thread, just commenting on the OP

 

8.0's to 9.0s are expected when new to the grading system. and nothing to be "too" upset with. just need to pay attention more to the important details in grading (I.E. Spine stress,corners, edges, dents, creases... etc)

 

However..... honestly, getting a 3.5 on xm 100?. that's kind of shocking. and with that alone id hold off on sending books to be graded for a very long time and really start to study up on how comics are/get graded... just my

OP, just keep buying what you love and you'll never feel cheated. If you're purchasing to flip or as a future investment, that's when you'll want to be more discriminatory obviously. Cheers!

Get the ebay app on your phone and check slabbed prices before buying anything raw at that shop again. For example you can get X-Men 103 in 9.2 for just over $100.
