A question to the Signature Series program gurus

Akira is my all time favorite comics, and his creator is a genius, to me.

 

I'd like to know if there is any change to have a SS book of Katsuhiro Otomo.

He is known to be a very shy person who rarely appears in comic related events. He was scheduled to attend SDCc a few years ago but he cancelled at the last minute.

 

I wonder if any of the best SS organizers can make this opportunity a reality

He's long been on my list as well. I've seen signed items (not CGC) on eBay but I've never even seen a known authentic example to use for comparison. I was deeply disappointed when he canceled his SDCC appearance.

 

I'm not a big fan of anime, but I love Akira.

Is there any CGC witness in Japan? The best bet to have a certified signature would be to catch him at some local event in Tokyo.

Is he only limited to shows in Japan?

I'm not seeing where he even makes appearances there. In looking for appearances by Mr. Otomo, the only thing I see is his canceled SDCC appearance. I would think the best bet would be to have a boardie in Japan, if we have one, watch for him and/or try to make contact. I'm afraid that trying to reach out from here might lose something in translation.

A couple of years ago he set up an Akira exposition in an art gallery in Tokyo.

Hundred of orginal art exposed, I saw pics on the web and it was amazing.
