Hi All,

 

some help appreciated. Left foot seems colored in. and edges looked trimmed. I picked this up in the mid 80's. breaking it out now to get it slabbed.

Structurally I'd guess it would get a 6.5 but don't know the hit for the fading, my guess would be final grade at 5.5 but my confidence on predicting this one would be low.

Not sure it is colored in, check the interior cover for bleed through. It could just be badly faded except for the area at the bottom right.

 

Why do I think it isn't colored in?

 

In addition to the foot, the black ink and the grey of the buildings is also brighter in the area. It suggests that perhaps it was hanging on a comic store wall exposed to sunlight and the comic bag it was in had something on it in that area to block direct sunlight.

 

As to trimmed: very difficult to say from a pic on the internet.

What is SA? is that some type of restoration/work done to the book?

Slight amateur restoration. It's a designation of the amount of resto done and the method used.
