Highest grade awarded for subscription crease

Highest grade that a book with a subscription crease can get?

Thanks,

John

No such rule, depends on the rest of the book.

So based on what you're saying, a book with a subscription crease can get a 9.0 if no other defects?

No, a book would never get a 9.0 with a subscription crease. You'll be very hard-pressed to find a CGC slab higher than a 5.0/5.5 if the book has a color-breaking subscription crease.

^yeah, agreed.

I've seen several subcrease books get 6.5 with two consistent traits - rest of book is 9.0 or up, and the color breaks very unobtrusively in just a few spots along the fold, not the whole line. If the color break is on back and not front, I've heard it could go higher, but don't recall actually seeing one like that over 6.5.
