First Appearance of Daredevil From Issue #1 Page #2 in Pedigrees January Auction

1 post in this topic

According to Randy Lawrence, Pedigree Comics, Inc.’s Comic Art Consignment Director, the company’s upcoming January Grand Auction will include many new fabulous art pieces from a myriad of artists and genres. The auction is scheduled to begin in just over one (1) week, on the night of Monday, January 9th and last for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, January 19th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). The comic book listing of the auction ends on the night of Wednesday, January 18th and the original art listing ends on the night of Thursday, January 19th. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and EVERY comic book listing will have no reserve (some of the original art items will be listed with a reserve). Every book is CGC or CBCS graded and the minimum bid is only $100 for this Grand Auction. You can view over 550 high grade lots in the Auction Preview right now. Just go to the Pedigree Comics website and click on the Auction banner.

“After happily getting our feet wet in the initial Pedigree Comics Art Auction back in October some terrific consignments have been coming in, stated Lawrence. “We are so proud to be able to bring you some iconic pages and covers as well as some amazing illustrations and recreation pieces as well in our upcoming January auction beginning in just a few weeks. There will be over 300 original pieces of comic art to bid on!

“The buzz is all over about our being able to bring to auction the very first appearance of DAREDEVIL from Daredevil # 1 page 2 with his very first art appearance as drawn by the great Bill Everett in early 1964. Since the original cover is no longer around and the image before this page two one was a stat…. This IS the very 1st drawn appearance available.”

If you have original comic art to sell or consign, contact Pedigree Comics’ Comic Art Consignment Director Randy Lawrence . Please go to the site (www.PedigreeComics.com) and read the following for all consignment information or contact him directly at (561) 451-9800 or (561) 886-8777 or by email at RandyLawrence@pedigreecomics.com.

We are still accepting consignments for the January Grand Auction and will continue to do so until the night of Monday, January 9th.

The sooner you consign your original artwork the more exposure they will receive. We aggressively promote and advertize each auction and send periodic newsletters to all of our over 22,500 customers announcing the auction items. We also offer generous cash advances for quality consignments so check the site for consignment instructions and get your art items in now.

Consignors maximize their profits selling in the Grand Auction, more so than on any other auction site or auction house. We do not charge a buyers’ premium, an amount that most bidders take into consideration when bidding in other sites (the bidders simply deduct the buyers’ premium amount, usually 20% of the winning price, from their final bid, meaning less $$ to the consignor and more to the auction site). The higher the value of your art piece(s) that sell in a Grand Auction, the more $$ you take home under Pedigree Comics’ Climbing Scale as follows:

A Climbing Scale is in effect for consigned art pieces with a winning bid as follows:

10% Commission for any consigned item that sells from $100 to $3,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $90% of the final bid price);

8% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $3,000 and up to $80,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $92% of the final bid price);

7% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $80,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $93% of the final bid price).

There are three easy ways to consign your original comic art to Our January Grand Auction. Here is how to consign:

1. Ship your original art pieces directly to our offices in Wellington and Boca Raton, Florida. We will inventory, scan and upload each art piece into the Grand Auction listing. The items will be listed under your personal account and you will receive email notification at the conclusion of the auction with a list of every consigned art item that sold along with the winning bid made.

2. Email the scans of the art you wish to consign directly to us at RandyLawrence@pedigreecomics.com (art). We will format and upload each scan onto our server and then put each art piece into the Grand Auction listing. Please use a .jpeg format with the resolution set at 72 and the pixel width at no more than 1200 for optimum clarity. If you do not have a scanner you can use a digital camera.

3. You can upload your own scans, item information, art descriptions and reserve amounts, if any, by utilizing our Automated Consignment System. Just register onto the site (www.PedigreeComics.com) and login, click the “Customer Page” tab under “Your Account” and then click “Consignments” (under the “Auctions” heading). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and list your own original comic art items. We will receive an email once you have uploaded the scan and art information for each individual item into the system and we will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the Grand Auction listing to be bid on. You will be amazed how simple it is to use the Automated Consignment System.
