Where do I lose the most points? I was thinking 5.5 myself, but I am curious to hear what everyone thinks.

^ Spine and top edge; with a black picture-frame cover that exaggerates every little ding or stress.

 

I'd be at FN with a nicer top edge and w/o that small obtrusive crease near bottom left corner.

Decent copy but I doubt it would grade higher than a 5.0 and in fact, I am inclined to think 4.5 (very good +) as someone noted above.

 

This is based on the following: first, there are a substantial number of spine ticks (which is not helped by being a black cover). Second, there appear to be two large "dings" along the top front cover (just above the "ma" in Marvel and between the "l and c" in Marvel Comics.

 

There is also a small stain on the back cover and what appears to be a small tear on the left hand side of the back cover as well. Finally, the blunted lower right corner on the back cover will hurt the grade as well.

 

Anyway, that would be reasoning for grading this a 4.5 or a 5.0. Still a nice reader copy.

4.5 just wont do, I wanted a 5.0 minimum.

 

This almost made it into my last match that went to get graded, phew.
