no confusion on my part, just wondering what the group thought on veltex's logic to still put up the take it sign knowing that it had already been taken

I agree Speedy, though I will say there have been quite a few newer buyers who threw up the :takeit: per PM when they made an offer, but the seller didnt accept the offer, so it was still available. (as opposed to the usual practice of sending the PM, negotiating, coming to an agreement and THEN posting the "I'll take it per PM" post).

 

If I saw a newer user put up the :takeit: per PM, and there was no subsequent ^^ from the OP I might roll the dice that I could still win it.

If the is silly enough to put up the :takeit: without their offer being accepted, they're on the hook for the full asking price. If the seller's feeling generous, as I probably would myself, he could cut them a break, but as a :popcorn: I'd enjoy watching the fool squirm a bit first. :devil:

Not sure exactly, but it's a pretty big coincidence.

 

Could probably make up for the Paypal fees in eBay Bucks or has negotiated a better price with the auction seller.

This person sent me message once on ebay saying "HOW COULD YOU OFFER THIS ON EBAY AT THE SAME PRICE I OFFERED YOU ON THE CGC BOARDS". It went on to call me names and was in all caps.

 

That being said, I think your theory is possible.
