The first appearance of a Horror Host in a comic book?

While Mr. Crime is the first crime host and his first appearance is in CDNP 24, when do we first see a horror character host a story in a comic book?

I have my own thought about this but will see what others here think before sharing.

She came out before the Ancient Witch in the Yellowjacket series. I haven't been able to find anything older than her appearance in Hit Comics 1. Amazing how this horror host came out seven years before the first actual horror comic.
