I'd grade it a 3.5; could be a 4.0.

4.0 mostly due to the accumulation of defects to both sides of the cover. Most of the damage appears to be along the spine particularly the upper staple area.

I was thinking VG+ or lower dependent on how much one wants to take off for the back cover defects.

Probably 4.0 due to the moisture ripples and spots on the back cover. Otherwise it might go as high as 4.5.
