What happened to my CGC??!!!

You have a book inside the "new" CGC case they were trying to use last year. The book is placed between 2 sheets of mylar then encapsulated. Unfortunately this slab process didn't work and the books moved in between the 2 plastic sheets causing waviness. Send it back in to be re-encapsulated.

I am only going to respond in this thread as it is the one with pictures. Your other thread has more comments, but no pictures.  My short answer there is nothing "wrong" with your book/it's encapsulation in the CGC holder

This is a Generation 2 slab with the inner holder. This slab does not have a risk of causing waves in the books.

It is really hard to tell from the pictures, but I believe the book is the way it was printed and it's a 9.8. Most new comic books right out of the box from Diamond do not lay flat. A friend has a comic book store here in town. I go in on Wednesdays (new comics arrive) and am there just to talk to people about getting their books graded and encapsulated (I have a Dealer Account). People - and the store owner - will oftentimes want to get  brand new comics sent to CGC.  We go through the stack looking for the best copies. I'm amazed at just how wavy and bent most new issues look.  I believe it is a result of thin but glossy coated paper stock and the over saturation of ink. But whatever the reason, the books don't lay flat. Brand new, out of the box.

Because this is the way the books were printed - it's a printing defect, not from handling - the grading companies tend to give it a pass. We sent in dozens of copies of this particular book back when it was screaming hot.   Most had some degree of waviness to them.

If you want to send it this book in for a reholder, the cost is $15 plus return shipping. Reholders MUST BE SHIPPED TO CGC IN THE SLAB. If sent in as a reholder the book will only be put in a new holder - it will not be regraded, it will be a 9.8. If you take the book out of the holder (which is rather difficult - I would not recommend it to someone new to CGC slabbed books) and send it back to CGC it will be regraded. It may or may not stay at 9.8.

I believe your book is fine and it would be a waste of time and money to send it back in. Just enjoy it.  Or sell it and buy another copy with the money if it bothers you.

No, CGC went back to using an inner well on June 24, 2016. This book was graded on August 10, 2016. You can also see the seals on the inner well.

Okay, Thank you for answering my question!

And I have two more questions

(Remember that my grade is 9.8 currently)

1. The case which released in that time, There are many Newton Rings and I have those either. And Newton Rings mean that my comic book has been pressed by inner and outer case. Then If I remove the label which tells the grade and serial number and send it to CGC for regrading, Is that possible enough for my CGC to be graded lower than 9.8 because of Pressed areas which caused by Newton Rings?

2. My grade is 9.8 currently and 9.8 means Near Mint or Mint right? But there are black spots and yellow spots on my comic book! Do they can exist at 9.8 graded comic book? (I uploaded sample images)

This was already answered in another of your threads about this one comic.  The answer now is the same, namely that your comic did not grade 10.0 mint, and so has one or a few very minor defects.  These are in addition to any production issues, such as the color spots in your book in the C, P, and A of the title.

Okay then you say that's okay!

Then what about question1??

Send the book back in its current slab for reholdering, if you wish to get rid of a wavy inner well, and it will receive the same grade, provided the slab hasn't been tampered with.

This should conclude your quest for knowledge regarding this one comic.  Be sure to let us know when you buy your second slabbed book.  I have a feeling you will.

Yeah but I'm asking 'without label', Is that possible enough for my CGC to be graded lower than 9.8 just because of Pressed areas which caused by Newton Rings?

Because I'm wondering that kind of situation.

Do not take the book out of the slab. If sent in without the label your book will be regraded, at your expense, and it may not get a 9.8 again. Not sure why you are asking about submitting the book 'without label'. Nothing to gain by doing that.
