visarspike
hi can someone help me determine if this is a real or fake romita sketch (to be honest, i have a doubt because i don't especially recognize his style, and it seems very detailed for a sketch) thanks everyone
Canadiancomics
The signature looks real, its hard to tell with the sketch, where did you purchase it? Some parts of it matches his style in the early 90s but parts of it do not.
The Voord
Problem with this type of stuff . . . it's very easy to fake. The piece you show *might* be genuine . . . then again, it might *not*. If you're planning a purchase, do you think you can live with the element of doubt that will always exist at the back of your mind?
jaybuck43
If I had to guess, it looks legitimate. I have a feeling it was a very quick convention sketch. The To Gerard also lends some credence to it being a quick conventional sketch, given that a faker wouldn't want to add a name, since you need to fake his hand writing style, and devalue it by adding a name. I assume you got it from here https://auction.catawiki.com/kavels/12217337-original-sketch-of-wolverine-by-john-romita-sr-marvel-comics
