Christwarrior316
Hi Guys quick question. Why is Avengers #125 a key or semi key issue? I know it is the first Thanos cover for the Avengers comics, but is this the first time the Avengers are fighting Thanos ? I know his first appearance is in Iron Man #55. Would really appreciate the clarity here. Thank you in advance
ygogolak
I wouldn't classify it as a key as much as any of his Captain Marvel books minus the Death issue. Anything Thanos is hot and if he's on the cover it's hotter. Lazyboy

Ken Aldred
You're not really missing anything. Very little Thanos in it, just The Avengers having a fight in space with an alien invasion fleet sent by him. Some nice interior art, but a minor addition to the storyline which was progressing in Captain Marvel. Edited July 30, 2017 by Ken Aldred
Mercury Man
Always liked that cover. In fact many of the Avengers in the 100-150 range had some decent covers.

I do own the comic though
World Devourer
Like many Avengers issues of the time, it is a fairly blah read. The Avengers destroy the device that allows Thanos' minions to communicate with one another, but don't actually alter the Titan's plans.
Ken Aldred
In the Avengers Annual 7 / Marvel Two-In-One Annual 2 crossover story, The Avengers have another battle with his alien henchmen, but that story is far more significant to the Thanos Saga as a whole. It has some classic scenes; especially Warlock's. Edited August 11, 2017 by Ken Aldred
