I think people will be disappointed. It looked like a You Tube movie exactly like those Character vs Character episodes. Nothing wrong with that per say, but
when you step and try to do something more you have to change your quality as well. This type of production is just years behind and as long as that's all
they want to be then its fine.

I disagree, but time will tell. Marvel did not get where they are by leaps and bounds. I believe Valiant is taking well thought out steps, as they have done in publishing.

Thanks for the link @Bosco685

My initial statement is that this isn't Netflix or a CW production, so hopefully people aren't expecting that. Overall, I think it was good step in the right direction for Bat in the Sun productions. It's pretty much what you would expect from one of their own Character vs Character videos, just longer.

My only disappointment of the first episode, was that there wasn't any backstory or introduction to tell people who the Valiant Universe characters are. Maybe at least a screen title name of who each character was would probably help new comers to the Valiant Universe out. They at least said who Bloodshot was, as they tried to contact him, so something like that for each character would have been good. Hopefully this will touched on in upcoming episodes.

All 6 parts are now online, but they'll be taken down tomorrow according to the dictate of Valiant's new overlords (DMG).

Watched the whole thing. lol.

So I agree with your statement. I liked it. It just isn't in the same league as Marvel movies or Netflix Marvel shows. Not even close folks. I got a Power Rangers vibe watching it, and I can see why it was delayed for so long.

PROS.

It was good to finally see the Valiant characters live action and this a good starting point.

I found the characters likable with Ninjak and Bloodshot the big winners.

CONS

The big thing though was the special effects need work. That was the first thing that stood out when I watched the first five minutes of the first episode.

All in all good to watch for free, but I would not pay to watch it in the movie theatre.

So decent starting steps, but nowhere close to the level of Marvel movies.

So they still have work to do.

I think the Bloodshot Vin Diesel movie will be the real test, and this was just a warm up.

This will likely have more viewers than the Bloodshot movie will!

Isn't that like saying "more people try the free sample at the grocery store than buy it and take it home"?
