OK, How about a Gerber 8?

Warrior Comics #1 (only issue) 1945 H.C. Blackerby Pubs.

A very unusual one shot book. Reprints early DC pre-superhero stuff. Gerber lists it as an 8 in his book. Tough to get and even tougher in nice shape. A single staple book.

Beautiful, clean, flat, glossy complete copy. Has a very tiny lower spine abrasion bump. Probably a production flaw. Has a tiny indent at spine by single staple. Top of book has a very slight bend that does not break color. Back cover has a few very small discolored spots at the top of the spine. Not water spots or stains just a little "rough". A small bend at top back cover and what looks like a very light sun shadow at bottom. Cover and centerfold are bound tight to book. Interior paper is lightly yellowed but supple with no tears or creases and no pieces missing. Looks almost un-read. Probably hard to find a nicer one...

WAS $300.   NOW $250. (cheeep for a nice Gerber 8!)

Wanted #42 Oct 1951 Toytown Pubs

Another nice, bright, clean complete copy. Has a very slight spine roll. Looks like the way it was bound. Light general spine and wear. Book and centerfold bound well to covers. Interior paper is lightly yellowed but supple with no interior damage.

$40.

OK, last one and this is a RARE one!

Hop Harrigan The 99th Squadron 1945 DC Giveway. Entitled "A Ride in the Sky". This was reprinted from Comic Cavalcade #9. 8 pages on newsprint with no staple. There were a small series of these done. Three are listed in the Overstreet guide. This one is not. The others say "Comic Cavalcade" at top. This one does not. On the back at bottom written lightly in pencil is " From the Southern Confence for Human Welfare 1945". Probably only printed in very small quantities for this event.

Great contents featuring Hop Harrigan and about the US superiority in the air against the Nazis. Features black pilots taking the Nazi planes out in a well oiled fashion. Lots of action and embarrasment for the Nazi general in the story especially to be beaten by "non aryan" soldiers. Important messages for the time.

A beautiful copy with no tears, or missing pieces. Was folded once in center lightly. Nice off white to lightly yellowed paper. Amazing to have survived so nicely.

There have been a couple of the other non-nazi ones that sold on ebay in the past couple of years for a lot of money but not this one.

If this one does not sell, I will either hang on to it or have it pressed, slabbed and send it to auction where I'm sure it will do quite well.

WAS $1,100.   NOW $950. for an unlisted 1945 DC Nazi giveaway!
