Timely became Marvel, thus Stan has been with Marvel from the time the Sub-Mariner first appeared in Marvel Comics 1. Though he didn't create Marvel Comics 1, he was already part of the offices of Timely Publications when that monumental issue that launched the 79 year history of the Marvel Universe was published.
