Wondering if anyone has been to the IDW art gallery - and might have some comments.

Saw This article which made it sound bad.

I was there in December.  It's basically a bunch of framed photocopies of high-end comic art (more accurately, pages cut out of IDW Artist Editions) and then a few scattered low-end pieces (like the Ben Templesmith 30 Days of Night art mentioned in the article - might have been from a sequel and not the original series), some of which is marked for sale.  There are also IDW Artist Editions and other IDW products available for sale in the front.

There's also a branch of the San Diego comic store Comickaze in the same building complex as the art gallery.  Plus, IDW itself is located there if you know Scott Dunbier and want to say hi.

When I was there during SDCC 2017, they had a nice selection of Walt Simonson, Jack Kirby, and Dave Stevens pieces. It was worth a visit then.

Pretty sure most/all of the better pieces in your photos are pages cut out from various Artist Editions.  At the very least, some of them are.
