Authentic Police Cases 16 - raw - 4.5

Cover & CF Solid at the staples.  Worst flaw is a tiny piece missing at the top of the back cover at the spine.

Page quality is nice

When you look at the inside cover and the back cover it looks in the photos like there's a water stain, but I think it's just a aging paper or foxing or something because there are no other tell tale signs of water like loss of gloss or rippling.  I've seen the same thing in other covers from the era, and it's not a water stain.

Nice pick up.  And you're right that's not a water stain.  St John books were prone to develop that staining.  Probably had something to do with the paper or inks they used.

It almost looks like it's printed with the "stain".  Very bizarre.
