Can someone check these comics? 0

I'm not 100% sure where this needs or should be posted but something seems a little odd about the comics in this sellers post on Facebook. The seller is asking $60 for each of the comics listed and some of them have a CGC Universal Grading of 4-4.5 stating basically they should only be worth a few bucks. There is also a comics deal going on just a few towns over from this seller so I'm surprised he wouldn't be trying to sell them there. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Uploading the photos here. While I know some comics can go for a LOT of money, asking $60 for each one knowing some of them can be bought for half that or less is a disgrace to the comic book community.

Someone on the internet is overpricing a good they hope to sell?

 

whole foods sells some milk for $7 a gallon

the neighborhood liquor store sells single bottles for profit when they paid less buying in bulk.

when you buy food at a fancy restaurant, you might pay $100 when the ingredients cost $20 combined.

 

even though I pay high property taxes in California, sometimes the weather still sucks.

Yeah I'm struggling to figure out what the point is here as well. If you know the books to be overpriced... don't buy them? I think calling this a "disgrace to the comic book community" is a bit dramatic.

I think the original post might be by someone who thinks that either A) CGC has any control of the prices that people charge or that B) CGC collectors have any control of the prices that people charge.

Just another example of a first time poster asking something ridiculous. I agree, I don't understand the point of the post and I don't really think he asked a question, just that he needed assistance. What are we, the comic police ? Crazy.

Please bear in mind that a seller can ask whatever he wants for an item he owns. But if you want to see really crazy prices, check out some of the listings on Amazon...

If you already know some should only be worth a few bucks then you know the answer to your question. The seller doesnt know some secret that you dont , he is just trying to get back his money from his poor grading choices. Each booked slabbed likely cost someone $35 or more . Lipstick on pig and all

Its free to put things on Facebook, setting up a booth at a comic show is work and costs money.
