Its not down for me but there are and have been a sufficiently large number of DDoS attacks the past two days so various regions have been down from time to time.  The northeast, northern midwest and northwest regions are getting absolutely hammered.

A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is an attempt to make an online service unavailable by overwhelming it with traffic from multiple sources.

Pretty common event historically, but recently they have used more attack vectors to "bogulate" even the most robust infrastructures.
