Front cover is totally detached and missing some acreage. Back cover.....gone. But hey, staples are still attached to the naked book I want to give it a .5 and probably should. Or does it receive a 1.0? Should I staple the cover back to the book? We're having fun right? So, I'm still unsure about this after rereading the OS grading definitions again. I've bolded the part which is making me question whether it deserves the 1.0. And when I read the .5 definition the book doesn't exhibit almost any of that. The front cover DOES having missing pieces and is detached but the way I'm reading it that should be ok. Or is it the combination of the major defects which should render it a .5? I've added some new pics too! .5 has been my inclination from the beginning but at the same time I am going to offer the book in the FS Forum and arriving at a price is proving troublesome (GPA shows 3 sales of a 1.0 - all the same book - but no sales of a .5 and this obviously isn't graded to begin with). In any event I'm eager for some second opinions. And you all need to freshen up on your grading for the 2018 Green Eggs Grading Contest right? CGC notes regarding that 1.0 say: Certification #:1445737016 Spine of cover completely split & cover detached. **************************************** 1.0 FAIR (FR): A copy in this grade shows heavy wear.
