How bad do comic pages fade over time?

If you follow a few simple guidelines you can keep your books preserved very well for many years. 1) Keep them in a cool, dark, dry place. A climate controlled space works very well. Keeping them properly stored in a comic box is also helpful. 2) Use proper storage materials such as mylar bags and acid-free backing boards. Keeping them encased in a CGC holder seems to work very well, too.  3) If you're using cheaper bags and boards for storage, change them every few years to prevent any possibility of degradation.  4) Keep them away from smokers! Bad ju-ju, my friend, and not just for the books...  :makepoint:
