I have three pieces I want to get framed:

 - Action Comics 685 - Funeral for a Friend

 - Superman/Doomsday #1

 - Batman 494 - Knightfall

I am going to do a simple black frame, with Museum Glass, but wanted some input on the acid free Mattes - thinking as follows:

 - For the Superman pieces - black outer matte (say 2 inches thick) with either a red or blue inner matte about 1/4-1/2 inch thick framing the art.  So - the question is for the Superman Pieces should it be a Red or Blue inner matte?

- For the Batman piece - black or grey outer matte with either yellow inner matte. So - the question is for Batman should it be a Black or Grey outer matte?

There is a website I use for my fine art endeavors that will allow you to post a picture and preview it with various matting/framing options.  I've found it very useful as a quick dive into what an idea might look like.  The website is www.pictureframes.com.  Here are a couple quick mock ups I did in about 5 minutes of my art with your ideas for matting.  You can play with the interface to change how the image is cropped, use different frames, etc.  Hope this helps.

If you have a flat image of your art and go to Americanframes.com, you can build the frame and mat with your picture and see how it looks.
