Would you pop this BIN? X-men #50

Gorgeous 9.2. BIN of $179. This is really hard, and I don't know if I should pop it. I really really love this cover. Book is $100 for raw NM.

That's a good price, so if you want it, go for it! Make sure it looks like a true 9.2 though.

I think I'd try to get it a little lower than the BIN. Last few copies have brought more like $100 to $120. A year ago a copy brought $229, but dropped a lot right after that.

9.4 copies can be had for $200 to $300.

 

Edited: Sorry, I was looking at the wrong auction. Just noticed you said 'raw'. I was referring to a CGC graded auction with a current bid of $100 and a BIN at $179. I was also referencing CGC graded prices. I don't think I would go higher than about $60 on a raw copy. But if you thought it might be CGC 9.4, then $100 is a bargain.

If you're willing to pay the BIN price then just proxy bid that price and hope that someone else doesn’t go higher. Then you'll stand a good chance of getting it for less then the BIN.

No, that auction you are referring to is the same auction I am talking about. I just posted the $100 RAW nm for reference.

 

The book with the BIN is the 9.2 cgc book.
