Quite possible.

History has shown us that comics become collectible if there is a very clear period of time when they were definitely not collectible.

Unfortunately, the comics that are still worthless also meet this criteria.

If you are talking about the 100 giant page Wal-Mart DC comics we will find it looks like the bubble is popping from a hysteria a few weeks ago. The Batman book is barely going for a few dollars over cover now.
