I apologize for my ignorance but this is regarding my first submissions. Some of my submissions changed Status from Received to VERIFIED. What does this mean?, please and thank you.

It means they've moved one step closer to being graded. Once your books are verified, they're usually stored in the CGC safe until they're graded, hopefully within the next week or so...

After you see VERIFIED, you'll see

Scheduled for Grading
Graded
Shipped/Safe

Verified also means that they have verified your books to your paperwork.  Verified is a good thing.

Ok, so they are now marked graded but the grade is showing n/a, what's that all about, thanks much

Your book has been graded.  BUT typically the actual grade is not uploaded to the system (for customers) until it is shipped out.  Hence, the grade is not yet available to you as the customer.
