My first daily news story today.

Kind of boring.

Shatner Won’t Star in a New Star Trek Series, But Doesn’t Rule Out a Cameo.

Patrick Stewart may be returning to his role Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a new Star Trek series, but fans shouldn’t expected franchise icon William Shatner to follow suit.

Speaking with the Toronto Star ahead of his appearance this weekend Toronto Fan Expo, the 87-year-old actor said he’s simply not interested in committing to another television series

Generally, and I certainly am not casting aspersions, people don't aspire to Spam as a 1st choice food group. Poll after poll supports this. Spam afficiandos are often described as enviously jealous of people with more normal tastes.

An experiment would be: change the picture high to a picture of a KC barbecued Prime cut steak, and we can track if post likes increase...........:jokealert:, because you never know around here.

This story seems more interesting.

Oscar Isaac Thinks The Last Jedi Haters Should Channel That Anger into Creativity

https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/09/02/oscar-isaac-thinks-the-last-jedi-haters-should-channel-that-anger-into-creativity/

To say that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been a contentious release would be the understatement of the century. It’s been nearly nine months since the movie came out and there is a certain segment of fan that are still lividly mad about the creative choices that were made in the movie. There’s one person who thinks that fans should channel that anger into something productive. Yahoo Entertainment spoke to Star Wars star Oscar Isaac and was asked about the “discourse”.

“What I think is really special about the whole thing — particularly for people that really didn’t agree with where the story went — is that it’s often a great inspiration to do your own stuff,” he says. “Obviously, making your own Star Wars movie is a bit of a tough challenge, but at least from a narrative standpoint maybe you make your own thing and then show what you would want. Make what you would want to see.”

I’m hoping for a Scandinavian-style social democracy, rather than an autocratic, second Caltopia, which might run the risk of devolving into a dictatorship.

Aside from the political model, it does, of course, partially depend upon the quality of the joining bonus; a generous bundle of digital comics vs a newsprint copy of IMSM 1. hm

Some great digital sales up right now up on Amazon and Comixology.

Digital comics are definitely the future.

The genie has been let out of the bottle.

The low print speculation variants are probably the main reason print comics still have some mojo left.

The next five years the battle between print and digital should be an interesting story.

Your co-liking partnerships and willingness to post in a content-less thread seem like trying.

People wanted to know if there any sites like CGC?

Really there isn't. I consider this site to a be a hidden gem of the web.

Now there are a couple of sites that are hardcore such as

for sportscards

https://www.blowoutforums.com/

music

http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/

 Ditch has a good site.

Bat Trauma

Batman has been cracking skulls for nearly a century, and for the most part, comic fans are on board. Again, why wouldn’t they be? But while Batman ostensibly has carte blanche with his fans, the ramifications of his actions don’t. The fact of the matter is, the people Bruce Wayne beats up and tosses in Arkham Asylum are more often than not mentally ill. Comic books have addressed this countless time in the past, calling Batman out on his hypocrisy in roughing up would-be patients in dire need of treatment. And while one may argue a leopard never changes his spots, the Dark Knight’s behavior certainly sends mixed signals and may need some realigning, especially in an era where the battle for mental health awareness is raging on.
