First submission and discount (membership credit) problems 1 1

Hi all,

 

New to CGC, but have been getting coins and notes slabbed with NGC and PMG for a while.

 

I was wondering, I am trying to do a submission to CGC for the first time, but the online form will not subtract the $150 CGC membership fee bonus from my account.

Also, I get an internal server error when I try to submit the online form. I don't seem to have access to the old fillable pdf forms on the site either, which complicates me telling them about the discount. It's only for about 9 or 10 comics, but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that any credit on your account would be applied at the time your card was charged. The online form isn’t smart enough to search for any credit.

This. I also haven't submitted yet, but I have read a lot about submissions, and everyone says that they apply the credit (IIRC) sometime after grading and encapsulation. You have to note that you want your credit applied somewhere in the form.

The problem I'm having is that I only have access to the online submission and not the fillable PDFs.

They do not charge your card until some time after they have received your books.  I used the online submission form, and they just credited the necessary amount and only charged my card the remaining due

I always right a little note on the sub form  mentioning my $150 credit, for peace of mind.

I wish the accounting was a little more transparent for CGC members. I'd like to be able to see the running balance when I have a credit on my account to make sure there aren't any errors because...accounting.

yeah, I've been submitting for years and also find this checkout not applying my membership credit to be somewhat frustrating as well.. also glad to see the subject is being discussed on a recent time frame as well.

Yes, I do the same as well.  I always make a note of my $150 credit on the sub form.

It is clear the $150 credit gets applied before they "hand charge" the card, but what about the 10% (or 15%)? I do not see that reflected in the cart at all. Is that also re-calculated before being charged?
