it amazes me how there's a market in these countries for these titles. norwegian edition? how many can they possibly print to justify the translation and typesetting costs? it's not like we're talking about disney ducks here, super hero comics are pretty darn american. serbian copies of walking dead? really, what are we talking about, 128 serbians reading walking dead? sure, spanish, french, german I can understand, maybe.

Not sure how many of you have seen this? but I just got this in, and I'm REAL happy with it (the marks on the cover are on the comic bag). I'm DEFIANTLY sending this in to CGC with my first submission. It was described as a 9.4 - 9.6, by a seller who seems to know what he's talking about, and the top CGC census is 9.6! with just 1... which I found odd, seeing as it's such a ridiculously cool cover!

The CGC census says:

1 9.6

1 9.4

2 9.2's

or something like that, but regardless, not many! :) It's probably one of my fave covers i've ever seen.

Hoping it grades a 9.6, or maybe if I'm ultra lucky a 9.8, but that's obviously doubtful :P:wishluck:

I didn't realize CGC slabbed those.

The beauty of that book is in the story. It reunites Kirby and Lee for the story. Good read.

The norwegian comic book marked have had its ups and downs like every other I suppose, the main runs over here are disny ducks (some ~5000 issues since 1948) and other funny books. Super hero comics never did great over here. I dont have exact print numbers at hand, but the scarsity just makes it more fun for me to collect them. One can basically give up getting 9.6- 9.8 stuff, much because of the nature of the books, the obvious low print issue and the lack of serious collectors through the years. For older stuff, one should be happy settling with anything from the 5.0 - 8.0 range. Mid grades are relatively expensive over here, but high grades wont blow you away in comparison. The international marked see a crazy price difference from a 7.0 - 9.0 for instance, over here that'd be rather unnoticable on the price tag. I also find it interesting to see the cover art variations that goes with these reprints.

Oh and, BillS25 and jimjum12 - those are wonderfull. I love that superman #280 cover.
