RickHigh
Just spent the day with a good friend of mine who just happens to own one of the best comic book stores in the southeast (IMO). We spent several hours "talking comics" and going through his convention stuff. I picked out several books to buy and put some on "layaway". He showed me some of his Timely collection, which consisted of several Captain America, Subby, Human Torch and Marvel Mystery. All of these were at least Fine and some looked VF. All have beautiful white pages. The nicest of the bunch was, believe it or not, a Capt. America's Weird Tales #74 in beautiful Fine or better condition. It was stunning!!! All in all, it was a great day to spend a rainy Memorial Day. Here are a couple of books that I bought... This is my favorite Detective cover... arexcrooke
im trying, but this spending spree has really hurt my funds. I do have a chance to make more money painting between now and then. I will probably just be looking for Avengers in the 100's and Thors that i need raw to keep filling in runs. I want to have a complete run of Thor raw and have a complete Registry set as well. Ze-man
Finally got a decent raw book off Ebay. DC Limited Collectors Edition #25 Batman (NA cover) Took a chance, bid and won the book. Total price $9 ......shipped to my door. Shipping was cheap but safe. The book is a solid 9.2 real sharp, unread beauty. Was expecting a decent VG+/F copy. I have wasted $10 so many times in my life I consider this $10 well spent. ( I cannot escape the fact I have a thing for these oversize books) Just had to share the luv with everyone here, since my wife just went... .. that's nice honey.
