I do but I figure if PM ignored that would likewise be a dead end or some canned response 'your post violated board guidelines' etc without explaining anything.  HOW does posting an emoji or other innocuous posts violate board guidelines?  I'd like to know so I dont do it again.

Nope.

It's like a cop pulls you over, gives you a ticket for 'something'.  He wont tell you what it is he just says you violated highway laws.  So you have no means to not do it again.
