I would say the book is about a 9.2 were it not for the tear on the spine.  Thanks for your input.

8.0 because it's an actual small tear.  If you have a presser work they magic to smooth it out, you might get a 8.5.

Thanks.  I was considering a pressing, but was afraid the process might detach the torn piece.  I will consult with joeypost.

From what I see in the scans all the paper appears to be present, and if done right, the piece will be fine.

I was at 7.5 .... I can see 8.0 though, I have an ASM 300 with a similar situation that graded 8.0

Wish I knew a press would help
