I have a few that I think that would hit 9.8, although it is a far off distant sub. I guess I need to be pickier with my books :sorry:

Still, glad to hear it reported that there are more grader's notes now :foryou:

Don't let it break your heart.

At least I'm getting graders' notes these days.

Has CGC been CBCS'd?

I feel it is doing the opposite. Books I would get grades of 4.0 on are getting 5.5 today.

A squishing in the middle?

I don't really do those grades, so you could fool me pretty easily.

Not sure about mid-grades...

I'm just commenting on modern collectors who will settle for nothing less than a 9.8.

Books that are slam dunk 9.8's before are receiving 9.4 to 9.6

They are hammering manufacturing defects with grader notes I've never seen in 10+ years of submitting such as "color lose on edge" on

books printed where the ink didn't transfer clean to the book during the manufacturing process.

BINGO!!!!

i foresee CGC going to quarter point grades someday for those grades below 9.0

and for those above 9.0 i foresee 1 point increments ....

what you can do if you want a grade bump is take your 9.8 that is a 9.6, ruffle it up down to a 5.0 and submit for final grade of 6.0.

I'm convinced it just depends on what kind of day the grader is having sometimes.

If I had to do that for a living, every work day would be terrible indeed.
