Wolverine #1. Silly corners

Just busted out some comics that have been boxed up in a storage room for quite a while.  Never graded before.  I knew i had some gems, but sadly they aren't as pristine as I had hoped.  Wondering if even worth grading--so really appreciate any advice here.  There is an obvious  corner crease on the lower right, that goes through almost all the pages. Figure that's going to be a big issue for the grade.

Not just bent but also looks abraded too, tiny color-corner piece ready to break off on front, even interior pages have hard corner bend/abrasion, can't see the back too well but also looks abraded. Also a few cb spine creases and left front cover edge wear.

7.5

thanks for looking at it.  You know it looks way worse in a picture than to my eye.  I think there is some abrasion.  Snapped two more pics.  Strangely the crease doesn't show except on a few pages in (very faintly), but reappears on the back cover.  Also looks like the back cover may have some scratches.  This may not be worth sleeving, but i should do a better job protecting it.  Feel like i have a lot of comics that suffered this.  Bagged ok, but probably a lot of shifting when boxes were moved around.

Sleeving? Do you mean slabbing? Its definitely worth keeping in a bag and board.

Yea, i mean getting it graded probably isn't worth it.  I'll keep it protected for sure--maybe upgrade to a top loader.   Ironically when i went through my box of comics i feel like the ones that are bagged/boarded have more issues with corners than the ones that were just flat in the box.  Maybe from taking and and out of the bags when i was younger and more careless.

Or maybe both- I'm of the age, and started collecting so early in life, that all of my original comics were not bagged. Then I bagged them. Then I boarded them. I only recently took the 30+ year old comics out and re-bagged and re-boarded them. You can tell in my collection when I realized I needed to start boarding them (1991). Almost everything pre-1991 has soft corners. Oh, but the memories!

lol. so true.  I remember buying this one from a friend and treating it really well.  Entirely possible it had that crease and my younger self never noticed.  Although i think there was definitely a lot of jostling around as i can see the bag corners are really worn.   Although on further digging i was really disappointed to find my web of spiderman #100 (also boarded) was 99% perfect except a friggin' tiny tear on one corner, Almost like it got caught in a deli slicer.  Not sure what did that but.. UGH!
